there's a 245/50/R16 Nitto 555R drag radial... would that fit? Or could you make it fit by BFH'ing the wheel well?... they aren't bad on handling for what they are, too.

Why don't you guys take the 'What tires fit on a Spyder' to the Spyder section of the forum. This is a sticky for 2GR-FE information and your posts are cluttering it with non-relevant info.

I though it might be relevant for this sticky because I'm specifically querying wheel and tyre setup for a 2GR-FE powered Spyder. Sorry if I have posted in the wrong section. Please let me know if I should post elsewhere.

Something I just found: Rockauto #7811007010 pulls up an Avalon DBW pedal, for about what used ones seem to be going for on ebay.

So did Pablo do it?
Not done yet. :) I need to post some updates, kinda had a string of bad luck, but I'm back to being mobile so I'm getting back in gear to get stuff done.

Hey. I am also setting the 2GR-FE + E56 in the Spyder. Can you tell me what the diameter within the INTAKE in the installation MAF. I think that this is important - but I can not find the information. Thank you.

75mm but 3" works fine

Have a 1988 MK1 SC - looking to add more power - since my Focus ZX3 will smoke the MR2 up to about 70 - where I do 99% of my driving. Was considering the 3SGTE - but the V6 engines seem to be more bang for the buck - especially in light that I have to pay someone to do the engine swap. I'm looking for a daily driver - not a track car or street racer - reliability is important - I'd rather drive than fix. So - looking for the easiest way to get 200+ hp with reliability. Suggestions? Opinions? Flames?

quite a bit is dependent on the person doing the install. you should hash it out with them.

but the 1mz, 3vz, 2gr and 2ar would all satisfy your needs. the 3s-gte does not have the reliability you're looking for.

something is wrong with your mk1 SC, or your focus has many modifications. Do a tune up, check your timing, that your SC is making boost, etc. Then get a grunt box and a pulley for your SC and see what you think about ~160 whp in a mk1 first. That can all be done for 300-350 and get you to a low 14 sec 1/4 mile. Get them used, or new.. the resale value is decent for them as they are the base level mods every mk1 SC should have!

Since the oil hose recall was brought up, I will mention that the pedal labeled #1 in the OP is the pedal manufactured for Toyota by CTS, and was involved in that media-inflated recall a couple of years ago for allegedly sticking. On the other hand, I've seen quite a few ruptured oil hoses, and have yet to see one credible report of an accelerator pedal actually sticking down.
The reason you see some RAV4s with the CTS pedal and others with the pedal labeled #2 (a Denso-manufactured part, as is #3), is that some RAV4s were built in the US, and others in Japan. The US-built vehicles have CTS pedals, and the Japan-built vehicles have Denso pedals. (IIRC)
