So after I installed my new plugs and wires, my car is boosting smoothly. But I notice that it's hitting 0.9bar (13psi) in second gear. I haven't run the car too hard since I'm still on the stock timing belt (105K miles). I thought that max boost was 11.8psi for a stock turbo set up.
Does this mean that my HKS gauge is messed up or I got a wastegate problem? Does my K&N cone filter have anything to do with the spike?
I don't have a boost controller.
I'll be able to run the car hard after I change the timing belt and check it out but just wanted thoughts on this now.
