Where is the ECU & Cruise Computer?

I've hunted everywhere. Can someone please tell me where the ECU and Cruise Control Computer are located? I have a factory cruise control and don't really like the way it functions. I am looking into replacing it with an aftermarket system.

Would anyone be interested in my factory equipment? I guess the only thing I would need is the part of the steering column where the wand sticks out.

ECU is in the trunk and the cruise control is in the engine bay behind the battery.

I am pretty sure the Cruise Control computer is in the trunk too behind the drivers side trunk panel if I remember right.

yes, Cruise computer is in trunk on firewall - drivers side. Ecu is Passenger side (also that is the engine bay fan computer behind ECU).

Thanks for the help. Need a little more. The cruise control diagram in Haynes shows wiring to a "speed sensor". Can anyone tell me where I would find that little gem?

The speed sensor is in the speedometer. I think that it is a magnetic reed switch that closes once for each turn of the speedometer cable.
