If only we got a 99 GTS Tropical Blue hardtop. Thats is IMO is the best stock MR2 I can think of. Sigh...its like really an exotic to us.
I don't think the Tropical Blue was offered for Rev V turbos, my favorite color for the last gen of MKII is the 2 tone color scheme (black top w/ silver bottom)

i got the wonderful opportunity to drive a very clean example of a 96 Hardtop Turbo. GenIII engine, SMG, right hand drive. quite the good time, lemme tell ya. ;)

Per Toyota at Toyotas last MR2 club meet in Long beach in the mid 90s. 93 Solar Yellow turbo slick top. Only one was built and sold to a customer. Toyota at that time was looking for it for the Toyota museum at the Headquarters in Torrance.

I think that was only NA's though.

Everyone forgets Turquoise Pearl cuz people think it's ugly or not the coolest... :(.... it's the rarest color. Only made in 93. My car is pretty rare I think.... 93, fully loaded, turquoise pearl, LSD, turbo... but it's not the rarest.

^ i got the same car :D
i get a lot of compliments and looks at my workplace though.

mr2 spider is definetly the rarest of the MKII's though. next up i think it would be a 99' hardtop turbo.

well... now that I think about it.. almost everyone has complimented the car, especially the "pretty" color. But on here, not too many people mention turquoise pearl.

i bet those who don't like our colors haven't even seen it in person. i used to think it was an ugly color too, but it grew on me. you really have to see it in person to appreciate it. it really looks like a totally different color in certain lighting. i've been told my color was blue, green, m3 blue.

^ lol

eww greasers...

hehehehe

I know exactly what you're talking about DeezNuts. In flourescent light, the car shines blue, and in others, it looks really green. I had the same feelings in the beginning about the color, since I always drove by the owners house, and it was dirty and neglected. I had plans to paint it candy silver with metallic flake, but the color grew on me, and now I love it, and it's my favorite!... especially after I took it in and cleaned it up.

I don't think our color is the rarest though. I hear alot less about the light blue 93's than the Turquoise Pearl that we have. Though there are probably less than 150 turquoise pearl's over here. (just a guess)
