Hey Blake, Its me Jon in tacoma, I got ahold of you not to long ago about the body work on one of my MR-2s. I hope you are still interested in that turbo MR2 i was talking about trading for the body work, it use to have blue interrior, and it now has all black interrior to include the Turbo gauge cluster. also its got the turbo brakes, so its basically a turbo that can be registered as an N/A. not to mention some of the other goodies that plan on throwing on it reguardless of what i decide to do with the car. but I do have 3 clips, 1 here local and 2 on a container ship headed this way now. let me know when you want to come check out my projects man.

hahaha... didnt realize it was u! Yeah i havent heard back from you in a while, i got so caught up at that show that i wasn't able to make it down to you place that day. We will defenilty work things out REAL soon. Im about to get the garage all set up to work... I was about to start choping apart my mr2... but i think we can squeeze yours in first... make sure you have all the parts together!

Im hoping to have my home body shop up by the end of next week. We should take my ****** NA motor and swap it into your shell, then I can use that as my daily.... and then swap your turbo motor into my car...

 

by all means get your stuff started on, i have this habbit not to do anything untill i have every single part i would need. and i have been focusing on getting the spare MR2 turbo running. so my main project MR2 is just in limbo. I picked up an FD that i will be working on too. That makes like 8 project cars i have and none of them run or run right. but still you and Ryan should stop by and see all this crap laying around here, it looks like a chop shop in my Apt complex

I ordered a new piece of sheet metel for the rear that the tail lights and center piece bolt onto and ordered a bunch of crap from a friend of mine in japan from a toyota dealership there. He hinted he might throw in a set of 98 spec turbo wheels, i can't wait to see if he came through.

so, like i said, my main one i expect to be down for quite a while again while i am fixing the other cars, and waiting for all the engine parts to come in aswell.

let me know about your shop though, i wouldn't mind checking it out.

My shop (i use that really loosely, seeing as its a body shop) should be up in a couple weeks. Were just doing the wall framing and dry wall to seperate it up a little bit now. That and set up air lines and ventalation system. But after thats done its just going to be an issue on who needs to get in first. I can have 2 cars in for body work at any given time if need be... plus any carbon fiber, fiberglass part production that needs to be done...

Right now i just have my car, a 1000hp+ supra, ryan's car, and ours, on the list of things to do...

Im trying to put together something amazing for each one of you... Im hoping to launch all of the cars in the next 6 months, and i think were going to make some one of the biggest toyota waves ever... I cant say too too much on the boards, but beilve me, its going to be huge, I got the super show base covered, i got the super car JDM covered, and the street class covered.

 

ah ____ man, i wish you posted this ____ about the clips a couple months ago b'fore i ordered mine from socal = /... I'll be doing my swap in late June in Bellevue, let me know if any of you guys want to lend a hand = )... heh i'll be obligated to return the favor for yours.

last i heard the container was scheduled to reach customs some time this week, so once i hear from my boys I'll let you know. I just found out I have to go to San Francisco tomorrow (short notice Air Force life) so I wont be back untill sunday night. I'll try my best to stay in touch through the board as I'm not sure if my phone will work 13,000 ft in the Air for the next few days, and I'll only be on the ground for 1-2 hours at a time

 

how much for either one of the clips? I am certainly interested, just need to know what kind of money I need to raise.

sorry its taken so long getting back guys.
N-e-ways the clips are here. 1 gen 3 is here. all kinds of goodies came with this car. for starters it has a tuned ecu from hks, HKS i/c, unsure of the make but an aftermarket bov, and tien rear suspension, also unsure of the model I'll have to research it alittle bit. so far everything else i can see is stock but i only looked at it for about 3 min due to all the other clips that came in.

there is also a gen 2 clip came in but from what i can see its all stock.

price for the gen 3 is still undetermined because the container was missing a R-33 or R34 clip (which one i can't remember) so the guys who did the ordering are probably going to ask somewhere around 3500-4500 to make up the difference. but with all the aftermarket parts i saw on it and what i may have over looked it might be a good deal.

as for the gen 2 clip, its closer to $2700.

Ryan, give me a call when you get a chance. I'll check into the gen 3 alittle more for you guys and see if i can talk him down to closer to 3k even.
