IM ALMOST DONE!!!! im just waiting for my valve cover to come back from the polisher. i also need to find the factory bov pipe, and bov.plus i have to do something with the oil return line. if anyone has that elbow? ill buy it (so if you have this im ready with paypal)Do you guys kno if a stock bov from the dsm cars will work?
ive rebuilt my motor with molly rings, hypertech pistons, metal head gasket, rebuilt turbo, new fuel pump...everything! i have a 93 too, but im hoping to see good numbers. i few things i have ?s about.
1st does anyone have a safc2 hook up for the 93's . i seen the one for the 91s but the ecu is diff.
2nd the vacum lines, i have to plug one of them off the wastegate acuator right? then the other one goes to the bov? i have a pcv valve......can i just put a breather on it? and plug the other side in the intake that it went too? as far as the boost gauge, i can t into the one that goes between the acuator and bov? or just pick one of the unused ones in the intake manafold?

Alot of this is covered in the Sticky so you might want to read through it again but here is my take:

You could probably fab up a pipe and use the DSM BOV but the stock 3sgte BOV valve is the best one you can get. You can usually find one used for $25-50 here on the board in the for sale forum. Make sure you get the BPV valve with it.

Don't know about the SAFC2.

The wastegate actuator needs one line connected to a manifold boost source and the other plugged. Again check the sticky. The BOV and BPV also need a boost source from the manifold as does an MSD-BTM if you are using one of those. It explains in the sticky which ports would be best to connect to. Avoid the ones that are used for EGR because they will sometimes have vacuum even when you have boost in the manifold.

There have been a few discussions on here about how to keep vacuum on the crankcase and keep it from smoking at idle which will happen if you just vent to atmosphere. My prefered method is to keep the two stock hoses that go from the intake manifold to the valve cover where they are but add PCV valves to both of them. A 93+ will have a PCV on one of them already. I haven't had a chance to extensively test this yet but it worked for a couple of days for me.

The boost gauge can be connected to either of the locations you mentioned just follow what it says in the sticky and avoid the EGR ports. I found that there were enough unused ports on the manifold that I only had to use one T to hook it all up.

as for the oilpan return you can just get a piece of pipe welded onto the pan at the right location and get a drill bit the same size as the opening and drill right through the pan......presto...a oil return nipple :D
