CRW shifter cable bushings -- best on the market!!! PT2

we have just dialed in some super bad ass shifter cable bushings for the MR2s. (this design was originally from Phoenix Power) this spherical bearing design kicks the crap out of every other replacement bushing on the market.

HOW you ask.... well: the OEM shifter cables do not move in a true linear fashion. when you install the brass bushings or roller skate bearings the natural twist of the cable as it is going through the range of motion is lost. the natural twist is dealt with on the OEM bushings in the rubber material they use which allows the flex in a non linear way... as it should be.

the advantages of these shifter bushings are:
1) proper shift cable articulation
2) advantage of having a bearing to reduce wear on moving parts
3) no rubber to wear out
4) no metal to wear out
5) 100% positive shift engagement

CRW spherical shifter bushing kit includes: spherical shifter bushings, washers and OEM retaining clips (BEST!)

CRW shifter bushing kit fits: all Mk1,all Mk2 NA and TURBO, MK3 and many other FWD toyotas (corolla, celica + all-trac, camry, tercel, matrix, scion TC, etc.) **these do not fit the 93-99 celica, 94+ camry or solara**

there are 2 styles of these bushing kits:
CRW standard spherical shifter bushing kit $35 shipped
CRW PTFE lined spherical shifter bushing kit $45 shipped

--> have the OEM square bushing for $18 shipped with bushings or $20 by itself. pic is of worn squares and new square for comparo:

--> have clutch pedal bearings $5 each shipped with bushings or $6 shipped individually

**these do fit A/T MR2s as well so if anyone wants a single (only takes 1) for the A/T powered MR2 i can accomodate no problem for $20 shipped (standard) or $25 shipped (PTFE lined)

**shipping is to lower 48 states. out of country orders will cost a few dollars extra depending on where located**

**these are finished and in stock ready to ship!!!**

Paypal address payment@chicoraceworks.com

can email me josh@garageCRW.com or text (look at siggy)

**these shifter cable bushings CANNOT cure poorly maintained transmissions, linkages, hydraulics, etc.**

Very nice.

I assume this only replaces the shift cable bushings at the Transmission, correct? The Cables themselves would still use the OEM heim joint connection. I understand this is probably pretty straight forward but for people hesitant to buy this, me for example, would probably buy this hands down if you had a small DIY write-up or a bit more description on what is replaced.

Some questions off the top of my head are:
- How easily accessible is it to get at these on the car?
- Can this be done without a major undertaking?
- How would you suggest installing these? Does it make sense to do a particular cable first on a M/T?

I would love to buy these, are you getting more stock? Sounds like you ran out.

I, too, would be very interested in a write-up of how to install these parts...i ordered all three pieces last week, and just hoping they're not too hard to install. A "how-to" with pic would be awesome! Also, you're gonna email the tracking numbers when you ship, right?

i have ran out of these several times so far but should have it under control now (finally!)

the stock cables have rubber dampners similar to a engine mount with a brass (?) insert for the linkage... those get removed and our bearings get installed. i did a write up on this in PT1:

1) poor shifting and part locations and whatnot: http://www.chicoraceworks.com/gallery/shifting

2) shifter bushing install: http://www.chicoraceworks.com/gallery/shifterbushinginstall

was also a speed-source link to the install of their brass bushings since they are same process

For the Square Bushing, is there only one on the M/T trans? From the pics it only appears to have one.

I am looking to replace the square bushing and the shift cable bushings. What do I need for my 93 NA 5 spd? I also need the total price shipped to 14224.
square bushing is same for NA or turbo and there is only one needed.

for you can get either the standard or PTFE lined bushing set and the square bushing for the linkage -- would be $53 shipped for the standard ushings + square or $63 shipped for the PTFE lined and square
