9.5:1 c/r from only a HG?

I got an overhaul going on and the machinist didn't take anything off of the block or head.

Is it possible to achieve a 9.5:1 by only a HG?

If not, whatelse could help out?

Also, would it NOW make it an interfernce(sp) motor?

sounds weird man.

i have 9:1 forged pistons
1.2mm hg.
twice resurfaced the head
and a decked block

and i'm on 9.4:1 right now.
which is quite high ... but its good for low end

Wow that is pretty strange. How did you get that number 9.4:1?

calculated .

i didnt but my engine builder told me.
he wanted to lower it. but i didnt ....

Would you say that if I got the 1.2mm (like you), I could get a tad about 9.5:1 b/c I didn't mill the head and block?

impossible.

stock CR = 8.8:1. with a 1mm headgasket.
so with a thicker gasket like you got now , it will probarly drop to 8.7 -> 8.6 :1.
