3rd gen oil level sensor

I just did a 3rd gen swap into my 91t. my oil level light on my gauge cluster keeps lighting up. the oil level light is the amber one right? the 3rd gen doesnt have an oil level sensor so do i just need to take this light bulb out or what?

You can take the bulb out, or ground the wire in the engine compartment relay/fuse block that used to connect to the gen2 oil level sensor. I still haven't done that to mine

Unplug the oil level ECU underneath the passenger 1/4 window.

Thanks redblues! That ECU is located at the E11 plug in this diagram.

I just disconnected mine on my lunch break. Oil light is no longer glaring at me!

Goodbye Oil Level ECU too.

The Engine Oil Level ecu is just below the passenger speaker.

I didn't even know there was an ECU for that. Thanks for the tip!

The NA chassis does not have this nor do they have the connector on the harness, so those driving NA's with 3SGTE swaps never need to worry about the light (though it is somewhat of a pain if you want the light to work)
