Inside of an OEM MR2 turbo muffler, upgrading it to 3" inlet piping!

A Flow Master has no packing material in it at all, they use the different chambers to cancel out frequencies. I suspect something of the same is going on here. I'd remembered ATS had opened up a stock muffler for a customer a long time ago and did some work inside of it. Not sure how they went about it or what they'd found though.

I'm interested to see how it sounds. What are your plans for your b-pipe?

Don't forget to drill out the end of the 3" in the muffler as Toyota did. That does have a lot to do with cross flow and sound.
