I had a 1991 turbo with a new turbo and down pipe installed. They work great. But now when I change oil it takes 5 quarts to reach the full mark on the dipstick and it uses that quart in a hurry. I have the right dipstick. So now I just mark the dipstick where 4 quarts shows. Should I be worried the dipstick tube is coming out?

Isn't there a small M8 bolt that very securely holds the dipstick tube to the thermostat housing? Make sure that's installed and the dipstick is properly seated at the base of the block.
I have the same oil low situation with my gen 2 3s motor. There’s no significant oil dripping on the ground but it’s always low every 2 weeks and I have to add oil. I noticed the oil gets dirty very quickly after an oil change (every 3,000 miles). I believe the piston oil control rings aren’t doing their job. I did refresh the top end but not the bottom end back in 2018.
