Is it true that that the relay in the drivers door for the power windows is only for the drivers door, and the other door just sends 12v through the switch? I am trying to figure out why my passenger window will not work... motor works fine when I send 12v directly and the switch is fine too

Make sure that you did not push the lock button.

You are correct that the control unit is for the driver's window only. If the window lock is not the problem, the next thing to consider is the wiring harness between the door and chassis. How did you test the switch?

The switches are in series. They cannot be independent, since either one has to be able to reverse the current, and you cannot have the case where the battery would short circuit if both were operated at once. The wiring is not simple. Look at the wiring diagram.

In the off position, both sides of the motor are connected to chassis ground through the lock switch. Either switch can connect either pole of the motor to battery voltage. In every case, both switches are conducting. If the switches are both active in opposite directions, then both poles of the motor are connected to battery voltage.
