Could a slpped timing belt do this? I noticed that latly it was really sluggish despite hitting 16psi (no boost controller either). It was doing the same thing as when I bought the car which ment my timing was off. I just checked it and some how it went from 10degrees to 0 degrees in about 2 months. To set it I had to turn the dirtibutor all the way in one direction (cant remember which) as far as it could go. Im thinking slipped timing belt but I just want to make sure.

Cam timing could be the problem. I do not know of any MR2 that has actually done it, but a slipping outer ring on the crank pulley is a possibility. If it seems sluggish, cam timing is more likely.
