well where do i begin lol


im 19 and wanting to buy my 1st mr2
i have just sold my 182 bhp escort rs turbo (being a student and running costs 2 much)

my questions are:

what are the basic power outputs of the mr 2 engines and how many variants are there (was going to look for a 3sge but after looking on here i am confused to which cars they came fitted on( know lots on fords but have a very limited knowledge on toyotas ).
im form the u.k. so if this makes any diffrence

how many groups higher insurance wise is the tbar compared to the hard top

also how much should i be looking at for a nice clean example and what age (i will have upto 3k to spend)

if you are in the uk the n/a engine is a 3sge, if you have a us bound mr2 it would be a 5sfe, the other engine that came to you was the 3sgte turbo mr2, so you can get the 3sge n/a or the 3sgte turbo, for your price and you being in college i would get the n/a for now, it would be kinda hard to get a nice turbo for the money, the 3sge is a decent engine that can be moded a bit..... t-bar did not change my insurance at all

There were 3S-FE cars in UK too, I think a search here on 3S-FE should turn up some info, those are the ones to avoid.
