I think 19-20 is normal. Mine is at 15 when I first start it, once it warms up it goes down to 20. I have a weird vacuum leak I guess.

mine does that too, my car usually idles at 19

My car idles at 15 in Hg, 900 rpms, when warm...I'm 5,000 ft above sea level, though.

mine does the same, its normal. On down shifts in mid -upper RPMs I get 20-22 HG

after driving my car and just letting it cool down, it idles around the normal 900-950 or so, but the vac is at like 21-22 inHg. something wrong?

anything from 18-23Hg is normal, although i found myself at around 18Hg until i tightened to boost line to the gauge and it started reading 22Hg. higher elevation will see lower Hg.

Have you tried simply turning down the idle screw, or is it already at its lowest?

turning down the idle screw? is this something that i should be adjusting? I just dont want to adjust one thing to compensate for something else that is wrong. I want to get at the problem, not covering up the symptoms. But if adjusting the idle screw is the correction to my problem...then give me directions, please. thanks
