Yes, use RTC silicone. Apply gel to the valvecover groove and make sure you get the corners, and then lay the rubber gasket on top of it. What I then did was..turn the VC around and place it on a clean surface...so the VC is actually adding pressure down on the gasket. I'd wait like 15-25mins...then I'll check and see if it holds or not. Be sure to use Allen wrench VC screws as offered at twosrus.com cause if you reuse old screws, there's a potential chance for another leak.YELLOW-MR2 said:do you have to put rtv silicone around the valve cover gasket when re instaling the valve cover gasket?
