Ok guys, a little caution playing with the egr. I will inprove milage when removed, however these systems have changed alot over the years. Manufactures now use it to improve drivability issue's, ie the landcruisers. Also have you noticed how rare it is to burn valves these days? Lower combustion temps are the biggest reason for this. Another odd side effect is engine noise. No egr can cause knock sensors to retard timing. Newer diesel trucks are using egr alot to keep their engines quiet and emissions in control. But they a paying the price in negative side effects as well. Thats another story. Ie higher compression means more heat. The system in good working order has more positive than negative. JB

Maybe because I'm young, but on the supra they had a switch to make the Supra stay in the most stiffest mode? Looks like a foglight switch to me though o.0
