I was wondering how many gallons of e85 can a stock gen4 3sgte take. The only change I have made is my fuel pump which is a Walbro 255, the reason I'm asking is that there is no 93 octane here in CA.

Install a afr gauge and do some testing.

I would think 10-15% by volume would be a safe limit as that is the quantity I add as methanol to my fuel tank. So for a 35litre tank that translates to approx 4.5l or 2 gallons. You may get away with more on a stock ECU as they run quite rich in upper range but some O2 testing required as mentioned above.

I live in SoCal and have done this with my jdm gen2 and my gen5 before I got an actual flex fuel tune.

Install a wideband gauge, add up to 3 gallons of e85 and you’ll notice a big difference.

91 octane and a jdm ecu is just asking for knock imo
