I love working on my car...is what I'll say as Im sitting on my couch watching the 12 Hours of Sebring tonight.
ACTUALLY working on it, like the upcoming downpipe change...yeah, it wont be fun. Done it before.

But it does give a sense of accomplishment, which is awesome. But Pete is right, not everyone has a place nor the tools. Some really just arent mechanically able, dont understand basics.

Also, I just checked. 9 grand. WOW!

We are all capable to do anything we set our minds to do, just depends how much will power your willing to put in. Before 16yrs old i didnt know anything on mechanics basics or knowledge. I just dove right in it and trial/error. However my dad was a mechanic for 35yrs so guess that helps and he would help me alot in my early mr2 years. This mr2 i have now, i have done everything myself from the body kit, paint, interior, tune and engine work...Except the up-pipe.

So for none diys if you want a mr2 and performance better get ready to spend some money cause shops aint cheap, especialy now with this inflation.

While I can do minor things a lot of what this work will take my body can't really contort to those positions anymore.

I don't mind spending the money to have it done right, I have had the car over 10 years, and it's not getting sold until I am dead.

Yea i understand and it did take me alot of physical force and discomfort to get my 2 to where it is today, especially the body kit and paint. I had a car accident in 2021 and till recently kind of still recovering. My back had been always sore in the mourning and sometimes during the day. Recently i started taking vitamin d3 and k3. It has helped alot!!!

But any work on a mr2 isnt easy at all!!!
