this just popped into my head, but is it possible to replace the tubing somehow, with something solid...(not rubber)? turbo to intercooler/ to throttle body?

are the rubber hoses for expansion. and/or, motor movement? being the motor is almost "solid" to the chassis and the intercooler is fixed to the body/structure.

doesnt seem too stupid of a question, but, one never knows

yeah, the rubber is there for engine movement.
revving the car in neutral will barely make the engine move, but when it's under load in low gears it moves a lot.

Ever wondered why exhausts have flex sections and hang from rubber hangers? Same reason.
