Hey Guys

I know very little about cars and have just had an issue, my car (1990 MR2 manual non turbo) is not accelerating at its usual rate at all. It started just yesterday, and under 60kms/h even if i put my foot down to the floor it just accelerates fairly slowly - nothing compared to what it should be doing, and is often quite jerky. At about 60kms and higher it seems to be fine.

I've looked on a couple of other forums and heard something about a throttle position sensor? Also drove through a large puddle the other day - and i saw someone on another forum respond to a similar question saying 'pull a spark plug wire and look into the valley. Probably have water'.

What do you guys think because I have no idea and don't want to get robbed by a Mechanic!
