As far as I know it should. I cant guarantee that though. I know of people using the c50 trannys with the GZEs. The gearing is different though. You will fly through the gears. People have snapped the C50 NA axles with the GZE engine when driving it hard.

A C50 or C52 trans will will bolt up fine. You will need a complete NA clutch setup and flywheel, 200mm or 212mm, your choice.
Using a C52 will allow you to install the starter on the intake side, it should last longer away from the exhaust manifold.

My 88 has a GZE with a C52. Illegal Garage 200mm clutch.
Axles are fine so far, after one year of driving.
