I haver a large rusted out chunk or quoter panel on the passenger side above the weel well, it is about 4 inchens long and two high, it is rusted all the way to the inner linner, does any one have any sugestions on how to fix it or how much it would cost to replace, because i really don't have the money to replace them unless I can find a cheap place to buy them.

year? front/ rear 1/4? Pics?

I will assume you have an 88 from your sig, and that the rust is in the rear 1/4's. By the sounds of it, the rust is REALLY bad. There are replacment 1/4 from toyota, but they are $800 + A SIDE. Another alternative is http://www.alfaparts.net/mr2.html for replacement patches. The bodywork and paint to get this all together is gonna cost around $3000 just for labor for a good job ( figure is for both side + a full body repaint). Might be cheaper to buy another cleaner 2 to start with.

I have a similar problem, here are some pictures. Im thinking of cutting and re-welding on about 2 feet of the rocker panel.

Please, any comments appreciated, i need some advice on this. How i found out that it has rust was when i was pulling the engine i accidnetly hit the rear of the rocker panel and it cracked off and i looked at it more closely and i noticed that it was bondod up before i had it.
