By removing this will the car sound better....instead of putting on an intake?

Also I just looked there are two boxes from the intake, whick is which and how do you remove it.

it will sound better but I dont think you'll see any gains from the butt dyno. If I remember right it's just a bunch of 10mm bolts, good 1st projet to learn how to do stuff on the car, you cant really screw it up. it's been like 4 years and a differnt engine but their is one kidney shaped one on the fire wall (5s) and one feeding into the air box. take both out and put something over the inlet on the air box so you dont suck in big pieces of crap.

what the hell is a resonator box?? the intake box? im not familair with the "proper" terms. Just replace it with a cold air intake, your car will make this silly sucking noise that you will notice more when your in a drive-thru or beside a wall,. its kinda cool but it gets annoying eventually. makes the workers in the store look back there..
