How the heck do you remove the ignition switch?

Is it part of the steering column? Or can you replace it separately?

Ive never done it to an mr2, but its not hard on domestics/imports.
Make sure you check the switch with a multimeter before replacing it. Hell, its might be possible to check it while its installed with the steering columb surrounds removed.

You need to turn the switch to the on position then press the clip behind the switch and pull out the cylinder.

Is that just to get the mechanical side out or does the electrical side come out to. The problem is, some days everything is working great other i either blow am2 fuse or my radiator fans are stuck on and all of my electrical (clock, tach, a/c, gauges don't work). And If i am blowing the am2 fuse i can push start it and nothing blows. It only blows when i turn the engine over.
