1-3 is the same anyways.. im not convinced at all that a s54 wont cut it. id prefer and s54 with an lsd.
I'd prefer a JDM s54 with lsd and 4th and 5th taken from an s51 ;)

1MZFE or 1ZZFE
S54 or E153

I would assume 1MZFE and S54 but you might want to double check. :thumbup

oops forgot the M. lol
well i'm going for the engine this weekend.

question... are the mounts reliable? will anything go wrong?
my BF is telling me that i'm an idiot... but he drives a DC2 Type R honda LOL.
but the mounts are kinda worrying me.

Why wouldn't they be? You should probably fill them with eurethane while you're in there just to be on the safe side. And you're aware you have to fab up the passenger side engine mount right?

the two torque bearing mounts are on the transmission, and will not need to be fabricated, or even touched for that matter. the mount you're fabricating (right side motor mount) is really just a support mount.. it bears weight, but not torque.. the torque is really what breaks stuff.

anyone that can cut metal and lay a half decent bead shouldnt have any problem welding that mount up :)
