Now that my 88 SC seems to be reasonably sorted, I have been considering getting its original leather seats recovered. In attempting to research the best option, I ran into several “road blocks”. Seems that only one of the online companies (Ridies) offered leather seat covers for MK1. Other companies did offer MKll seats….but not MK1….unless maybe it would fall in their “custom” work.
Unfortunately, the reviews of Ridies seemed to be hit and miss….from great quality and perfect fit to horrible. Needless to say, I would greatly value a forum member’s feedback.
If anyone has relatively recent experience with recovering their leather MK1 seats, please share your thoughts. Thanks!

I am currently using Ridies. The upholster is doing it now. I will post with photos when it’s done.

Well, I got mine back, looks pretty good to me, once they spend time in use they will great to me. I recommend Ridies

My upholster says it’s pretty good leather. Mine is the NAPA choice on line without perforation
