i've got a set of Mikuni 44's and from what i hear the operating pressure should be around 5-7 psi per carb. now, say i have a 14psi fuel pump that flows 110gph. would i be ok since the pressure is split between the twin mikunis? or would i cause some sort of damage to the carbs? input? suggestions?

Get a fuel pressure regulator for carbed engines, and set it for about 3#. Like Bill said - you'll have fuel everywhere at 14# because it'll overpower the float needles. You can't split hydraulics. If you run it to 100 places, it'll still be 14#.
