I dont want to port it, i just want to polish the inside a bit. Is this a bad idea or a good idea?

A lot of people polish their manifolds for the bling factor. You could always get it ceramic coated with a chrome finish, too.
I fail to see how polishing the inside is bling ;)

if you polish the exhaust mani, it will improve the flow of the exhaust gases. you always want the exhaust ports on the head smooth as possible along with the manifold. i hear the extrude hone process is nice cause its like sand-blasting and it smoothes out the rough surfaces...

its all good cause i agree with your post, i'd get it ceramic coated....not for the bling, however, but for the purpose of the coating. to keep the under hood temps down.
