Don't know if anyone can help me with this one.

I have a slightly damaged piston and need to swap it for a decent one, the part number's the same but the stamp on the the crown is a CD & 3. All the spares I have are either CD and 1 or 2.

Does any one know what this means? Is it a weight or size reference?

I think it is for size, ie. bearings and journals are 1, 2 or 3

The numbers do refer to piston size. These are 4AGE piston dimensions. GZE piston dimensions are different.
1= 80.890-80.900 mm
2= 80.900-80.910 mm
3= 80.910-80.920 mm

O/S .050 81.390-81.420 mm
