I previously owned a 88 sc mk1 mr2, and sold it in hopes of buying an mk2 turbo in a couple of years when i can afford to modify a car without being dead broke.

So basically what i am asking is waht are / would be your perfect twistie or canyon setup, basically a daily driver that can flog in the canyons.

I'd like it if you could post whether you've had this setup or if its just speculation, and when you had it cars that you could hang with or roast on the curves.

so far my idea of a great canyon monster would is :
93 mr2 turbo (for the great stock brakes)
engine mods:
93 jdm tranny with lsd
freeflowing exhaust and intake
stock boost because i want a predictable and reliable powerband

suspension mods:
tein springs with adjustable shocks
ST sway bars
some lightweight 16 x 7 fronts and 16 x 9 rears wrapped in azenis if they make them in that size
possibly strut tower bars for front and rear based on what it needs.

Good luck finding a 16x9 wheel that will fit.

I'd suggest JIC coilovers, TRD sway bars, and a good aggressive alignment.

are coilovers really necessary? i dont think so for a canyon car, the roads up there arent perfect and sure as hell arent smooth, and i likely wouldnt change my ride height ever, only damp occasionally. And for wheels and tire sizes what staggered setup is best for a 16" rim for handling?

coil overs arent neccessary. Ive seen fast MK1's with ST springs and illuminas with some front and rear sway bars and a good alignment really fly...
