Hello,
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Luke and I am now addicted to the Spyder. Fack! This Spyder is Awesome!

My girl was browsing for sports cars when she came across the Spyder. So I researched a little more and found this one. It is an immaculate 2000 with a Borla exhaust and get this, only 4,300 miles on it. We got it in Thousand Oaks for 14,000. We drove her 95 Integra as a trade in (for tax and licensing) all the way down from Monterey Peninsula, Carmel Valley to be exact. It took us 5-1/2 hours down and 4-1/2 hours back in the MR2. Oh ya, the previous owner was a CEO and didn't have room for it in his 10 car garage His wife said it had to go His loss is our gain!



I have the Spyder bug now and am looking forward to moding the hell out of this thing.
Current Mod:
Borla exhaust

Any suggestions on modifications would be appreciated. In other words, where should I start? TIA, -Luke-

Welcome to the MR2 community. You'll love it. Congrats on the purchase, it's a beauty. I don't know much about Spyders, so I can't help you too much in regards to mods, but the Borla exhaust is definitely a good start. Borla makes top of the line products.

what kinda of mods are you looking for?
performance?
appearance?

The basics that you can't go wrong with:
-B&M short shifter is Loved by all.
-TRD Member brace & TRD front strut tower brace.
-antiflex plate
Che (see spyderchat commercial sales forum) sells copies of all of these for a big savings.
he also sells copies of the AEM intake

so the list goes:

precats or custom header
short shifter
cold air intake
member brace (lower arm bars)
front strut tower brace
breast plate (antiflex plate)

Can't wait to start!

definetly more power and looks than all the others combined!! of coarse the sportivo wouldnt be bad either...

You guys are crazy! I can't swap out a engine with 4,500 miles on it just for power. In the meantime, I'll just have to ride my CBR600RR for power. And start saving up for an 01 911 turbo... for real power in a car that can handle it.. lol...
