Hey everyone, Fred here.

I have been looking at cars like the MR2 MKIII and Lotus Elise for quite some time. Now that I have some funds available for a fun weekender/track/maybe Daily here or there, I'd like your guys' thoughts on this listing here.

I've read opinions on the Ksport Coilovers. I'm not bothered about appearances too much, like chips and interior wear. It is an '01 with 101k miles after all. The owner lives a few hours out and I'd only be able to make a trip a few days out of this month due to other travels.

Where are you located?
@JustinNC is in Raleigh, maybe he could help
I'm in Raleigh but out of town until after the new year. If that car is still available when I get back in town, I'd be happy to take a look at it to make sure the listing is accurate.
Thanks Justin. Appreciate the support!
As far as the listing goes, any red flags pop up for you guys ?
How hard is it to rebuild an MR2 interior?
I think you accept a lot of cosmetic issues for a turbo 2ZZ. If you did that swap/build yourself, it would be major $$$$.

I am in the process of revamping my interior and will document it in a thread here. Doing it bit by bit, and while it'll add up, I don't expect it to be anything like an engine swap or anything.

Alright I managed to squeeze in a drive on my way up on a holiday trip. Here are my thoughts:

It drives well. I didn't notice any leaks and it looks just as the pictures show. Mechanically pretty sound. Shifts are smooth, revs nice, you can hear the VVTLI working at 6500ish. DEFINITELY not turbo lol. Just a 2ZZ swap and some extra goodies.

I do have few concerns that I'd like some input on.
How much is it to replace the soft top? This one looks like it has duct tape in a lot of areas and one strip going along the whole back. Should I just suck it up and flex seal the small holes ?
There came on a noticeable clicking noise that turned with the motor in sync. I narrowed it towards the left of the motor when looking at it head on, on the upper side. Let me know!

Thanks, appreciate the knowledge :)
