This might come as a suprice....but there is an aftermarket intake for the SRT4 that is quite interresting...

It comes in a couple of variants for the TB inlet, curved as in the pic, and straight.
And the complete kit cost a whopping...475 bucks...

I am trying to see if it is possible to just buy the top portion.
If that is possible for a reasonable price, welding on runners to fit the 3s should be a breeze.

The intake was developed by INDY/Howell, so I am sure the the design is pretty good.

how about this... yes I know they are designed for V8s... but make a single plenum with a boxed sealed section, and twin throttlebody to better distribute the airflow to the left and right

2 things, they probably wont be good for boosted applications, and second, and the biggest....the price is stupid....

Alltough I do like the twin throttle setup....

Look at the links man, it isnt the stock one...it's aftermarket...By people who knows their craft.
Now there are three realy good things about this design, it's a fairly big plenum made for a 2.4L turbo motor. Second it's a split piece design, which are great if one can buy just that section. And Price, you cant beat it man.

Other things I think are nice are it's taper, but it is shaped very much like other race type manifolds.

Im not saying its a bad idea. I think is a good idea. Im just woundering how much of a diffrence it will make? I like that its a two piece set up.
