Original motor 350k on odometer. Now it takes 2 cranks to get the motor running. Once it’s going, it’s fine. I don’t have any issue with acceleration or rough idling. It happens hot or cold climate. Battery is new, spark plugs replaced. All the troubleshooting has been done. Any help is appreciated.

Crank twice to get it started. The first turn of the key, the starter turn it over but it won’t fire up. Second try, vroom! And then it’s purring thru all the gear.

One cause of excess cranking for a cold engine is a leaky check valve at the fuel pump. Then you will have to reprime the fuel system each time.

That's a good theory.

Maybe test it by cranking only once to see how long it takes to start if at all.
Or see how long the first crank needs to be to make it start quickly with the second crank.
