As you probably figured out im the one that bought eddies (gambit) 1993 mr2 turbo.

Ive had it for two days now and heres what ive done

i put on my 94 taillights that came off of my other 93 turbo

finished!...they really do make a big difference compared to the 91-93

i put my homemade engine lid gas shock thingy...i think total cost me like 7 bucks haha...its way better than the rod...and i noticed in alot of engine bay pics you can see a gash in the "twin cam 16...etc" emblem on the intake manifold and i realized its from the stock prop rod vibrating on it when your engine lid is closed...so if you wanna keep it looking new...move your prop rod!

then i changed my oil

headlights off

headlights down

and me n kevin

oh and i put those clear corners on...i prefer the jdm ones but i had these sitting in my room...they dont match the sidemarkers so imma have ta do somethin about that...

...oh and the car is dirty in the pics...next thing was car wash

Where did you get the pop rod for that cheap? Can you take some pictures of the close up of what you did? Thanks
well i think i got the gas shock at pick a part for like 5 bucks...then i bought two metal brackets from home depot that were like 50 cents each and i cut em to fit...i found some spare nuts and bolts or used ones that were already there.

but i wouldnt go back to pick a part for a gas shock cuz i later found out they sell ones at autozone (just the shock itself) for like $10-15?

I randomly guessed how long the shock should be haha...and it worked!...and the ones at autozone (maybe it was pepboys?) are a little shorter than the one i used, but it should still work fine

ill see if i can take more pics of it
the rods @ autozone are more like $30+

what length is your prop?
Would you mind sharing what kind of brackets are those?
the brackets were from home depot...i just looked around and found ones that were L shaped...i think they were ment to secure corners on wood or sumthin. They were really big and i had to cut them down alot (and all i had was a hack saw haha)

It doesnt look too flashy, but im sure if i just painted the brackets black it would look nicer.

haha i remember i measured with my hand...thats how i picked the shock...i just kinda guessed...but ill take measurements and pics later today
how did you do your fog light mod
haha...i kinda figured this out by accident while i was messin with my other mr2

you dont have full control of them though....
...basically they *always* come on when your parking lights are on (always)
...and the stock switch will only turn them on and off when you headlights are on
...you could solve the problem of them always coming on when your parking lights are on buy throwing in another switch...but then youd have two switches

i think what i did was at the fog light switch i connected the wire that powers the bulb at the switch when the parking lights come on to the wire that goes to the foglights...that way when your parking lights are on your fogs are powered...
then i plugged the stock switch back in so they also come on when your headlights are on

really easy...it took one wire that was like 2 inches long and some splicing
smart idea^

did you get it to work? ive done it on both my 2's and never had a problem
yea i got it to work i just had to lower my ligt dimmer switch and then it turned on my fogs
sweet when you get the measurement post it..i'm thinking 25 inches to be exact!
Fog light mod is old school. I've done it on both of my MR2s, although a little differently than you. Up in the front fuse box I spliced the fog light power to the ignition switch, so if the key is in the ACC position, the fog light switch turns the fogs on and off, independant of the headlights or parking lights.

I use them as DRLs. :)
yea well i just posted my idea cuz it was really easy compared to the other ones ive seen.

haha mr93turbo...so i see your sigy..you got it to work haha
hell yea already flossin it hehe
