Just had a quick question for you guys who know what a misfire system is.

Besides being bad for the turbo, what other disadvantages are there to getting this sort of tune?

Also, anyone know of a shop/tuner who knows how to do this setup on our cars?

its a tecnique used in rally cars, (the reason the WRC CT20b has a steel exhaust wheel) that prevents lag by basically dumping fuel on the exaust stroke, causing it to ignite when it comes in contact with the glowing hot exhaust wheel this eliminates lag between shifts and braking. sometimes called a "backfire system".

the only car's that I have ever heard using this system are Rally cars. Then again they do need instant power and they can also afford to change turbos every race.

the more common name is antilag - I believe the "misfiring system" name comes from watching too much Initial D.
