Hello,

I'm thinking about getting some louvers put intot he side panels beside the engine lid? Does anyone know if body shops still do this? Or, do I need to go to a speciality shop to have it done? The louvers will look just like the louvers on the NA engine lid but smaller in width of course.

you can get them done. you can get pre-fabbed ones and weld them or bolt them in. i sorta did this already...
anyway, you can find a good hot-rodder type shop with an english wheel that may be able to do the louvres right into the sheetmetal.

Well, I have a picture of exactly what I want to have done. I just have to dig it off my hard drive somewhere.

I looks like they definetly used an old english wheel. I don't like the pre fabbed deals.

Thanks,
Todd

See, it's nothing real flashy but looks kind of stockish. I guess it may help a bit with cooling but I'll be honest I think it looks pretty cool. I think I have a better picture somewhere else. I have a few spare red side panels from Red Rust ( my old 85sc) that I tore apart. I'm gonna use those for this.

Leon Van Noorts engine looks fanatstic. Do you have any more pics of Leons car? A quick scan of the internet shows nothing for Leon Van Noorts. I have never seen this engine bay pic, and I have been a MK1 pervert for the last three years.

Ok, here are the 1st three images. The filenames were too long and I couldn't rename them off my CD that I have the images stored on. This board wants to put (...) instead of listing the entire URL so I just had to split it up on two lines. So, just copy and paste.

Dang, didn't work either. Give me a few more minutes. Ok, looks like it will just paste the main URL hosting site. However, you will have to type in the image name manually. I do not know how to fix this problem.
