I used to have a 17x8 +40mm, with a 235/40/17 lowered about 1" and it fit fine. Hope this helps a bit.

run a kuhmo ecsta 712 245/40/17 on a 17x9 38mm offset rear on a 91 n/a with h&r springs (probably close to 1.5inch drop), and it doesn't rub as long as you give it as much camber in the rear as you can get from slop in the rear suspension. it also helps to have illuminas to control the rear a bit. doubt we could do this with a standard shock. so close, very close.

the 93T runs a 17x7.5 rear, 22mm offset, rear with 235/40/17 ecsta 712's and has sustech springs.. no rubbing there at all, not even close.

neither is exactly what you're after..but just something to help give ya an idea maybe. wheel and tire fitment is such a fickle thing.

well I'm running a 235/40/17 now with the Susepension techniques and kyb agx's. It just looks like I might have more sag than when the springs (1.3") were new. I just don't know if I can squeeze a 245 under there. I could do a 235/45/17, but I don't want a skinny side wall.
