LOL, it's 4am and I just finished wiring these babies up after about 9 hours worth of work! It was so easy and I'm surprised that nobody beat me to it.

Well, like most have said before, in order for this ultra cool mod to work on USDM cars you NEED the ECU, switch, lights, JDM Wiring diagram and steering sensor. :thumbup

YOU DO NOT NEED a Power Steering ECU/ harness or what ever other rumors that are floating around. :bsflag:

Heres a little step by step with some pictures. If anyone wants some help doing this I am more then willing to help out any way possible.

Video of it in action!

First: Get your hands on a JDM Wiring Diagram. I found mine in a search. (Thanks Ishii!!) This is THE MOST critical part of the install.

Second: Open the ECU and note that all of the wires coming in are labeled on the circuit board. Match these wires with their corresponding numbers on the diagram.

Third: Follow the 5 wires to each fog light using the diagram. This is very straight forward and involves just following the 5 wires from each light to the ecu. They are even the same colors!

Anyone got any good places to get these pieces? fog? ecu? steering hub?
Impressive dudes! Ive never seen in action. I bet it will look better with HID fogs
Now all you need to do is get the JDM climate control to work in your car and sell it on e-bay for tons of money..

Well, i got them Off eBay...With every thing included. Just e-mailed the seller and asked him if he would include everything.

I was thinking to use those Yellow HID lights...For a more JDM look.

HAHA....Don't think I'll ever sell this baby. It's a never ending project.. just like your rides. Think that I can pull some good money for it if I post it in the For Sale Section? If you need help doing yours, and have all of the pieces, I'm in NYC quite often and can give you a hand. Just shoot me a PM.
thats cool.. i'll hit you up when i / if i get everything..
when will you venture over to the west coast?! (Vancouver BC :p)

Thanks for providing all the details, unfortunatley I don't know how to read the diagrams! :(
Jeez, I've always wanted to do this, but parts are too much trouble to track down... Why can't you find these in preassembled kits? lol... Anyways, amazing work. I'm uber jealous! Finally hearing someone do it is uplifting!
lol ~ i got complete set litte while ago ... lol thanks you i wont have to deal with the wiring ~~ mahalo ~*(thankyou)
If any one is interested in a FULL kit (ECU, Switch, Steering Sensor, Lights) Let me know. I have a source that I can get you in touch with! :thumbup

just a quick question, are your flasher going to be on the right side (looks like it from one of the pictures) ?

on my jdm I got thoses but it feels natural since im having the shifter on the left side
These are awsome. Yes im stupid but i didnt realise i had them untill a few months of driving. at night i turned and i only had the fog lights on. Its great. Other people love it. Confuses a few people when your parked and someone walks across and the lights follow them.

LOL....good lookin' there! I guess that I'm just going to have to get used to it. :thumbup
I'm looking to do this install myself into a non pre-wired chassis, and this write-up looks to be very helpful, but the images are no longer working.
Could you reupload the images that go with the install writeup? I'll send you a PM about it as well.
