:woot: My car runs now! :woot:

I just got off the phone with Bud and he told me that the car is running fine, a little rough at first and a tiny bit of smoke, but that is likely just the 18 months of inactivity. A little TLC and she ought to be good as new. The front bumper should be arriving in a week or 2, and then its off to the paint shop. Once I have a positive arrival date for the last of the parts I will schedule the spray booth. After nearly 1.5 years I may have a MR2 again!

The only part I still need would be the front A/C lines. Not needed to make the car servicable, but I do want them before the summer heat hits.

Is your car running yet?

You really don't know what you are missing...............
Oh I know what I am missing that is the worst part. Yes technically it IS running. Street legal.... not quite; The good news is that Greyhound finally found my '93 bumper after they lost it in transit (how do they loose a 9' long box?) I will go tomorrow to pick it up/bitch them out and make sure it is not damaged. It was supposed to arrive a week ago, and until today no one there had any idea where it was. From there it SHOULD be 2 weeks or less to get the spray booth; I just don't want to schedule it until I know for sure I will be able to use it on that day.

Here is what I have been doing to my XMODS RC car over the last week to help get my fix:

This http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5957320423&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

Became this http://carpron.com/albums/album18/sw20cut.jpg

Which quickly turned into this http://carpron.com/albums/album18/sw20_open_top.jpg

And currently looks like this

All I need to do now is prime/paint it and then add the glass and fab some clips to hold the body in place. I had to cut about 1/2" out of the car to get the length right, so I converted it to hard top to help hide the shortened passenger cab. It is the first model I have played with in about 10 years.

*EDIT*
Any sugestions on color?
