205/40/16 in front &
225/45/17 in the rears?

I will be running 16x7 in front and 17x8 in rear, Super Advans.

I am dropped on TRD springs w/ stock shocks w/ a 2 finger gap all around.

40 profile in front and 45 profile in rear is fine?
and is 225 wide enough for an 8 inch wheel?

205 in front and 225 in rear, with only 20mm difference, is good enough?

thanks

I don't see a problem with that, widest recommended wheel for a 225/45 is 8.5". Depending on your offset you could go 215/40-16 and 245/40-17.

Only problem I see is the 45 series tire in the rear. That will be pretty huge on a 17" wheel. Would be better off with a 45 series on the 16 up front and a 40 series in the rear, would keep both the front and rear diameter closer to stock.

A 205/45/16 is a better choice I think. I personally think that my 205/45/16's already look kinda skinny.

I think that I would want to go with wider than 225 in the back.

With those rim sizes, I would run 205/45/16 front and either 245/35/17 or 235/40/17 rear. I would prefer the 245/35/17, since it is just a hair under stock diameter. If you are running gobs of HP, run the 235/40/17.
