Hey guys, i need your help, i'm totally noob. I recently did a Gen4 swap in my MR2. Took it home today with all wiring done, I did at least 118mph on my way home.
It was fine until a mechanic (the one who did the swap) in his garage put a temporary air filter in just few minutes before i get home.
But when i was parking my 2 in my garage, a lot of water started to come out from the engine bay. The mechanic says he will look at it tomorrow, but i'm not sure he will have a proper idea what's wrong, he just normally replaces things :/ ..

I want to have an idea of what's going on, and not blow up the engine later. Is it that the air filter is bad? Or the stock intercooler is not enough to cool things down? or something else?

I'm posting picture of how it was when the electrician was working on the wiring, and after the leakage in my garage.

Let me know if you have any idea guys. Sorry my english is not great. Thanks!

Updates

Updated info: water was coming out from the radiator cap, from underneath. Pretty sure it's overheating...
