Not saying this is definitely your problem but when I had a phenolic TVIS delete plate it would leak absorb and drip oil. I attributed my case to an old tired engine I wouldn't think it would happen on a fresh rebuild.

Thanks for replies. I'll pull the intake pipes and see if any oil is in there. Possibly the turbo oil seals are passing oil.
Re Torque ARP headstuds and hope for the best.
I'm not burning any oil at all out the exhaust.
It's a gt35 turbo. Not many miles on it.

Update: Did a bunch of work on the car. Fixed o ring on distributor and retorqued the ARP head studs to 65 ft-lbs. Degreased under engine and ran the car in the lift.
Oil leak showed up as being the headgasket. Fml
Its leaking by what I think are the oil return ports.

Will compression test and watch for coolant in oil but it seems fine so far. Any thoughts?
Bad Mls headgasket?

If the engine ever overheated, then the failure is probably due to head warpage. In that case, you would have to make sure that the head and block are planar before you reassemble, and there is no guarantee that this is possible. If the head and block are still true, then who knows why it happened. Defective or contaminated headgasket, bad or improperly torqued headbolts, evil spirits...

Block was decked on rebuild. Head was done during the MCS motorsports days so I am now regretting not getting that decked before I did the valves and camshaft upgrades.
Or the headgasket didn't seat properly?!
Either way this sucks and I'll drive the car for the summer and figure out redoing the head in the fall.
I believe I have a spare head somewhere I can get machined for prep then just swap my parts over and reshim it.
Still lots of work I'm not looking forward to doing.

Last question:
Worthwhile to run a compression test?
Just to see if the cylinders all match? If one is low then it tells me this headgasket leak is more than just on the return oil channel?
If it comes back even, then can potentially drive the car with this motor for rest of the season?
