good day,
would like to seek help regarding wiring for map sensor (jdm 4age tvis)
my existing map sensor (89421-20020) is busted and im replacing it with a smallport jdm map sensor (i think they are compatible) but the wiring and colors and sockets are different
Mine has black, red and yellow wire and the one im going to install has a Brown, green/red, and yellow wire.

is this correct?
(old busted map) (replacement map)
yellow - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - > green/red
black - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >brown
red - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >yellow
1st pic is the new sensor
2nd and 3rd pic is the old busted sensor

Just so you know, Toyota Part No. 89421-20020 is a vacuum sensor, not a TPS sensor. The TPS is a four wire assembly, with part number 89452-12040. That's probably a big part of why they don't seem to match up.

You know what. I have no idea where I got the TPS thought from.

A follow-up, you are asking about a MAP sensor, but the MR2's 4age engine uses an AFM sensor, not MAP. Is the engine a stock 4age red/bluetop?
