It's already been shown that heavier 18s aren't needed. A good proper set of 17s and light wheels totally transforms the handling. No need to add the weight of bling wheels if yo are serious about performance. The FRS is neither heavier or powerful enough to requre massive tires.

the only big difference will be the weight issue for going larger wheels, now if you can get them larger and lighter with good tires it will balance the car much better and will kill any small wheel combo. "Rotating mass", is a killer for any car and wheel size. the new Shelby GT350 comes with some sort of carbon fiber wheels as i read in some magazine. just my 2 cent

The HT350R has the carbon wheels. The regular GT350 has aluminum wheels.

If you can find a really light 18 in chances are you can find that same wheel in a lighter 17 inch. These lil cars don't need massive tires.
