Rare ( 1 of 1742 ) Canadian market MR2 with manuals
Excellent project car for SCCA or HPDE events. Original intent was to have a tunable daily driver to occasionally take to the local southern CA tracks (Chuckwalla, Willow Springs, etc.). However, this high performance import from Canada has proven to be too difficult in CA to register. It currently resides in San Diego County, CA. All for $8,500 USD

VIN: JT2SW22P2P0068798 ( not in common US VIN decoders, check Canadian decoders )

Recommended applications
  • Not likely to pass CARB Smog (California Air Resources Board)
  • No airbags
  • No second catalytic (I believe '91 had two), but this has a 200 cell catalytic
  • Excellent project car for SCCA or HPDE events

    • HPDE - High Performance Driving Experiences
  • Lots of good parts to use or part out
Engine runs great - adjustable boost currently set to ~18psi ( max at 25psi )
  • Tunable with TunerStudio
I am unable to register in CA without required FMVSS letter from manufacturer

Wow. Nice, but definitely not a car for someone in Calif.
Ha! Yea, tell me about it. It was intend to be a project car, track car (I live a few hours from Willow Springs), and a daily driver if I could get away with it. It is still a nice track car…lots of potential.
