Now bear with me, I'm not too car savvy but I'm learning.

The third section is the real question/issue

I have a stock 1990 MR2 Turbo SW20 and about two months ago my RH drive shaft/cv joint literally split in half.

After weeks of searching I finally found a replacement part from Foreign Car Spares (they weren't as bad as the reviews said). So I got my part and started replacing the old CV Joint.

About half way done I realized that the bolt had sheered off of the old axle shaft bracket carrier bearing support bracket. I bout a new one of those off of Ebay, and the guy I bought it from said that the bracket carrier bearing support off of a 91-95 MR2 3S GTE would fit it.

I would like to know if this is true and if so then does anyone know the size of the bolt that holds the bearing in the actual support, cause the one that I purchased doesn't have one.

Many thanks,
U_G

I have mine apart just now for an upgrade of the axle cage on the trans end. CRW supplies kits for this and you should consider if you have disassembeled.

The bolts holding the carrier bearing are the same for all turbo's. Not sure what the size is but something like 14mm head and is high tensile strength. Either contact Josh at CRW (aks mister3) or your local Toyota dealership for replacement.

Another question can I use the carrier bearing support from a 91 MR2 3S GTE on my SW20, because on a quick comparison on Google they look very similar. But I'm not too sure if they're interchangeable. I guess this would be much easier if I was with my car but I'm currently on vacation lol.
