This is for a 91 Mr2 Turbo.
I have attached a file with my results.

California Emissions Smog Test
In short, I failed the HC (PPM) by 11 points.
and failed the CO(%) by 10 points.

I scheduled to get the second cat replaced.
I could sure use some expert advice here. I know this can get expensive.

I am already at $280 with the new cat.

Please help me keep my cost down...

Thanks.

What CAT did you buy? Just looking at CO number it seems your CAT is not good. My 1991 turbo with new CAT made 0.01 CO %. You can pm me for some tips if you like. I had few posts detailing my smog experience.

Try mixing in 2 gallons of E-85 before your next test. I dump in 3-3 1/2 gallons in my carby pickup and 2 gallons in my '87 MR2 for testing and it works great. Don't get too lean, it'll fail just as badly.

I don't know how cali is but. in Ct i did this get temp plates from dmv then go to emissions fail then go back to dmv they might tell you you can get hard plates for only a year. after that you should be exempted from emissions do to the 25 year rule
