Hello,
I'm new to MR2's and picked up my first one about 2 weeks ago.
On the way home from purchasing the car the head gasket fried.
I am in the process now of learning as much as I can about the car before I dig into it.
When taking a closer look at the car after I got it home I noticed 2 wires coming out of the ECU with a switch between them.
I posted in the local MR2 owners group on Facebook and they told me to open up the ECU and see where the wires came from.
I posted pictures and the general consensus came back with "not sure" or "for the check engine light."
I'm mostly familiar with Honda's and I know what it looks like when a Honda ECU is chipped and, to me, it looks like this MR2 ECU is chipped too.
Can anyone tell me if it is chipped or not and what this switch is for?

Sorry about writing a book here, and thank you!

Thanks for the response.
Is there any way, that you know of, to find out exactly what it is?
And the car has an Apexi SAFC too, but it's not wired up.
That confused me too, because usually if the ECU is chipped you wouldn't need an AFC, right?
